Ed Kiernan is an award-winning, self-shooting producer and director specializing in news, documentaries, and factual entertainment series. After leaving the military in 2008, he earned his Journalism MA from Falmouth University and launched his career at the NBC News London bureau. Over the next ten years, he served as a producer, cameraman, editor, and drone operator for various international news networks, including CNN, NBC News, Al Jazeera America, APTN, and Bloomberg. His work spans breaking news, documentaries, and high-profile interviews with figures such as Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, covering topics from the Syrian refugee crisis and European terror attacks to the death of Nelson Mandela and the London Olympics. Since 2020, he has focused primarily on factual entertainment series for broadcasters such at the BBC and PBS.
